This simple tea strainer makes enjoying loose leaf tea easy and flexible. Use it to strain tea from a pot without a built-in filter, or place it straight into your cup — add the leaves, pour hot water, and let it steep gently, just like a tea bag.

The gently hammered finish adds beautiful texture and subtle uniqueness, giving the piece quiet character while remaining practical.

Made in Tsubame-Sanjo, a centre of metal production since the Edo period, known throughout Japan for durable, high-quality stainless steel kitchenware.

It can also be used as a sifter for matcha powder, helping to create a smooth, fine texture before whisking.
