A trusted go-to for both professional chefs and passionate home cooks, the Nagomi Gyuto is valued for its versatility, balance and quiet confidence in the kitchen. The 205mm blade offers the ideal length for everyday cooking — long enough to handle larger cuts of meat, fish and vegetables with ease, yet controlled enough for precise slicing and detailed prep.

The gentle curve of the edge supports smooth, fluid cutting motions, whether you’re working through herbs, portioning proteins or halving a whole cabbage. Its double-bevel design makes it comfortable for both right- and left-handed users.

Crafted in Seki City by Mitsuboshi Cutlery, this is a knife designed for daily use - dependable, beautifully balanced and satisfying in hand. It comes in its original Nagomi box, making it a thoughtful gift for keen cooks or a refined addition to your own kitchen.

Rooted in Seki’s Blade Heritage

Nagomi is the kitchen knife brand from Mitsuboshi Cutlery, a historic blade maker based in Seki, Japan - one of the world’s most renowned knife making regions. Once known for forging samurai swords, the town’s legacy of precision and discipline continues today through knives crafted for everyday kitchens.

Balanced for Quality and Ease

Rather than extreme hardness alone, Nagomi knives are crafted for sharpness with resilience. Made from 440A molybdenum stainless steel, the blade offers a clean edge, strong rust resistance and ease of maintenance for everyday use.

Each knife is heat-treated and finished by hand. The gently rounded handle is polished and sanded to such a smooth sheen that it appears lacquered, yet the finish is achieved entirely through careful craftsmanship. Made from durable, water-resistant reinforced wood, it feels warm, seamless and naturally balanced in the hand.
