This Coron bowl features a visible Kintsugi repair along the rim, where a break has been carefully brought back together using a modern method finished with tin powder. The soft metallic lines follow the original fracture, adding a quiet contrast to the gentle grey glaze.

Rather than hiding the damage, the repair becomes part of the bowl’s story — a subtle reminder of care, resilience, and continued use.

Originally designed as an oven-safe piece, this bowl is no longer suitable for oven or microwave use due to the repair. It is best suited for serving and everyday use at the table.

The bowl comes with the lid which can also be used as a side dish.

Kintsugi is a time-intensive process that requires patience, skill and precision. Even with modern techniques, each repair is done by hand to ensure both strength and a refined finish. Our pricing reflects the time, materials and craftsmanship involved, and supports the continuation of this practice.

Each Kintsugi piece is priced individually, as no two repairs are ever the same.

The materials used, including tin powder, are food safe. To preserve the repaired area, we recommend gentle hand washing and avoiding dishwashers or prolonged soaking.

Due to the delicate nature of Kintsugi repairs, it’s important to handle your piece with extra care. The gold or silver-filled cracks are part of the piece's unique character, but they can be more fragile than the original ceramic. To preserve the beauty of your Kintsugi item:

Avoid using it in the microwave or dishwasher.
Gently hand wash with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
Store in a safe place away from heavy impact or direct pressure.

As with all handmade pieces, expect some variations in the appearance, making each item one-of-a-kind.

All of our products are handcrafted/hand finished. Therefore there may be variations in colour, texture, shape and some imperfections. We truly believe these add character to each piece and what make them unique.

In the situation where the item you receive is faulty, you will be entitled to a refund or exchange. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed.
